What does the Model Advisor do?+
The Model Advisor helps to choose a suitable model by matching the described use case against criteria such as task, budget and compliance requirements. The result is a recommendation with a short rationale — the final decision still rests with the user.
How is the recommendation produced?+
Typical properties are derived from the use-case description (e.g. text generation, code, image processing, voice) and matched against the models available in the catalogue. The recommendation usually includes notes on strengths, cost range and whether an EU-hosted model is available.
Can I still pick a model manually?+
Yes. The advisor is a support — manual model selection remains possible at any time. Combining the advisor with Model Comparison to evaluate multiple recommendations side by side is common.
Is the recommendation generated fresh each time?+
Recommendations are based on the current model catalogue and the configured criteria. When new models are added or pricing changes, recommendations can change accordingly — guaranteed stability over time is therefore not assured.
Does the advisor replace a technical assessment?+
No. The advisor is a decision aid, not a final assessment. For security- or compliance-critical setups we recommend reviewing the suggestion with IT, the DPO or qualified lawyers.
